PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION ON THE TRAINING PAGE PRIOR TO BOOKING. This is a HYBRID course, consisting of a 90 minute online classroom session prior to the in-person driving day. If you are unable to attend the classroom session, you will be able to watch the recording prior to class. The in-person session is a full day driving component in your own vehicle. It will lay the groundwork necessary to get out onto the trails and provide you with the basic skills necessary to tackle that next level adventure! No previous experience is required. This course is suitable for stock or lightly modified 4WD vehicles. Topics to be covered include: Vehicle and driver prep Tread Lightly Terminology and vehicle specs important for off-highway driving Understanding vehicle capabilities Basic driving techniques for various obstacles Line selection and wheel placement Intro to recovery Guided instruction while driving your own vehicle NOTE: There is risk of vehicle damage in this course so protective equipment like Rock Sliders and Skid Plates are highly recommended but not necessary. Please accurately represent the condition of your vehicle in the registration form so that we can plan accordingly. Required Equipment: 4WD with working Low range Front and Rear recovery points Radio (GMRS Recommended, FRS ok), if GMRS a FCC license is required (we have a limited number of loaners if you need one) A street legal, insured, registered vehicle and valid drivers license Required Personal Items: Clothing suitable for any weather during the day (classes are held rain or shine) Sturdy footwear for walking safely on trails Work gloves First aid kit Bug spray and sunscreen as required Water/non-alcoholic beverages/snacks for all vehicle occupants Any special medications or foods you may need during the day Optional Equipment: Aftermarket bumpers and recovery points Locking Differentials Winch and winch kits Any gear on which you would like instruction Young driver program: A teen driver (age 16-18) may participate for a discounted rate but must be accompanied by a licensed driver age 21+. The adult may act as a passenger or be a 2nd driver. Please choose the correct registration option for your choice. Please note that you my have a maximum of 2 licensed drivers per vehicle. Children under 16 may ride along with their parents for a guest fee of $15 per child. Parents should ensure children are not disruptive during class. This purchase is NON-REFUNDABLE.
