Advanced Recovery

New for 2026!
The Exploring NH advanced recovery class is the next step for drivers who are ready to take their recovery skills to a higher level. The class builds on the recovery basics we teach in Off Road 101 and 102 with more techniques and hands-on scenarios led by our certified instructors.
Over the course of two days we will use classroom sessions and outdoor scenarios to allow students to understand the what, why, and how of different techniques and then physically practice them with vehicles and recovery tools. All gear is provided by the trainers so this is a great opportunity to "try before you buy" with regard to the different equipment applicable to your environment and vehicle.
If you have gear already, feel free to bring it to the class and as long as it is safe, we can use it for the demonstrations. We will spend a significant portion of this class safely rigging and extracting vehicles from situations commonly found in off road travel.
Our instructors have many years of experience in 4wd driving, recovery, and instruction to assist with any questions you might have regarding the techniques and gear you will need for your adventures. To add peace of mind, we also have an on-site AED and all of our instructors are Wilderness First Aid certified.
