About Exploring NH

Exploring NH is all about enjoying the outdoor, especially here in beautiful New Hampshire. From the mountains to the seacoast, New Hampshire features some of the most picturesque scenery in the country. We have thousands of miles of trails, Class VI roads, lakes, rivers, and more to explore.

We feel strongly that no matter how you experience the outdoors - by foot, on 2 wheels, or on 4, on road or off - responsible recreation is important. Following Tread Lightly principles ensure that the landscape is preserved for future users. Being courteous, following rules and use guidelines ensures towns keep trails open for use. Being prepared with the right gear and right training ensures you and your companions are ready to meet challenges as they come.

Exploring NH is more than just off-road driving. We enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, adventure motorcycling, mountain biking, kayaking, and more. We provide:

  • Guided Trips

  • Self-guided Tour Maps

  • Forums

  • Training

    • Off-road Driving

    • First Aid/CPR & Wilderness First Aid

  • Gear Guides

What Makes Us Different

Choosing a guide service or trainer is about more than just a route and a lifted truck. It's about trusting the person leading you to have the knowledge and credentials to bring you home safely.

We value providing our guests with quality and safe experiences, while protecting the fragile environment that we travel through.

Stewardship & Ethics

We are committed to responsible recreation. All trips adhere to Tread Lightly & Wildly Responsible principles, and we travel only on open, legal trails during appropriate seasons and conditions. We will never hold an event on the Class VI roads before June 1, even if conditions appear dry.

Safety Training & Certification

Our guides and trainers are certified in First Aid, CPR, and Wilderness First Aid, and our owners are CPR/First Aid/Wilderness First Aid trainers. We carry an AED, satellite communication devices, and comprehensive first aid supplies on all trips and trainings to respond to unexpected emergencies.

Permits & Insurance

Operating a commercial guide service on certain public lands requires a permit. ExploringNH (ENH, LLC) is proud to hold a White Mountain National Forest Guiding permit. This isn't just paperwork. The process to obtain a permit requires extensive documentation of our polices, training, emergency procedures, and insurance as well as an annual review.

ExploringNH is fully insured for our guiding and training services.

Responsible leadership is not just a checkbox or talking point - it's the foundation of every adventure with ExploringNH.
