What Makes Us Different

Our Guiding Philosophy

We understand that you have many choices when it comes to adventure guiding services. We believe exceptional trips are built on a balance of technical expertise, thoughtful planning, and genuine community. Planning an adventure can be stressful and time-consuming. Leave the logistics to us. We handle route planning, lodging, and meals so you can focus on the experience.

Technical Expertise and Safety

Our trips are led by certified guides who have passed comprehensive qualification standards to ensure safe, positive guest experiences. We staff multiple guides on each trip so no participant is left behind in the event of a detour, mechanical issue, or unexpected challenge.

Safety is always our top priority. We equip every trip with satellite communication that connects guides to team members at home who can assist in emergencies. Vehicles are outfitted with high-power GMRS radios to maintain clear communication with all participants, and every trip carries comprehensive recovery equipment. We enforce a strict no alcohol or drug policy on the trail to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

We operate with all required permits for guiding within the White Mountain National Forest and maintain full insurance coverage appropriate for the guided experiences we provide.

Thoughtful Route Design and Local Knowledge

Our routes are carefully selected to balance adventure, stunning scenery, and appropriate technical challenge. We are familiar with alternative routes and contingency plans in case of closures, weather changes, or varying vehicle capabilities.

Our guides bring deep knowledge of the history, culture, and significance of the areas we travel, adding meaning and context to each journey. We also partner with trusted local vendors for food, supplies, and support services.

We are committed to responsible recreation. All trips adhere to Tread Lightly principles, and we travel only on open, legal trails during appropriate seasons and conditions.

Community and Connection

Building strong group camaraderie is central to our trips. You will meet others who share your values and passion for exploration, often sparking future adventures beyond the trip itself.

We also love helping you continue your journey. Learn about other off-road opportunities throughout New England that match your interests, and talk with our team of experts about gear, equipment, and vehicle outfitting to avoid costly mistakes and make the most of your investment.

TransNH Expedition (THNX)

Check out the incredible scenic views along the Kancamagus, take photos of some waterfalls, drive up the Mt. Washington Auto Road, scope out a couple of old time covered bridges, enjoy local foods, take a chance at seeing some moose, and spend some time in the woods! We will start at the Canadian border in Pittsburg NH and wind our way down through the state, before ending at the NH seacoast. We will cover nearly 500 miles of New Hampshire’s best and most scenic roads and trails. From the expansive networks of dirt and logging roads up north to the scenic White Mountain National Forest roads to the tight trails and historic small towns of Southern NH, we will see it all.

New 2026 Trips

This year we are planning to add several new trips to the calendar based on recent guest requests. Please let us know what you're interested in and we will contact you when booking is open!

"Wheeling" Trip - July 18-19

A 2-day event for those who enjoy their drives a bit more on the "spicy" side!

Van/Trailer/AWD Overlanding Trip - August 7-9

This overlanding trip will stick to wider, easier Class V and Class VI roads, but there is nothing boring about it! We will incorporate elements of the popular TransNH Expedition but ensure that the trails are appropriate for larger vehicles or those without 4WD.

Overlanding Trip/Basecamp Style

This trip is not yet scheduled, but will be added based on demand. The goal is a 2-2.5 day overland style trip but returning to the same campground for 2 nights. Avoid the hassle of moving camp, while enjoyed guided trips to different areas during the day.

Bushcraft Skills Trip + Training

This trip is not yet scheduled, but will be added based on demand. We will partner with a local bushcraft skills trainer with camping in a remote/primitive location and learning new skills related to survival, cooking, and more in the wilderness.
