Service Description

PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION ON THE TRAINING PAGE PRIOR TO BOOKING. This is a full day course (10am-6pm), consisting of a classroom component and a hands-on driving component in your own vehicle. It will lay the groundwork necessary to get out onto the trails and provide you with the basic skills necessary to tackle that next level adventure! No previous experience is required. This course is suitable for lightly modified 4wd vehicles. Lunch is included. Topics to be covered include: Vehicle and driver preparation Tread Lightly Terminology and vehicle specifications important for off-highway driving How to understand vehicle capabilities Basic driving techniques for different obstacle types Line selection and wheel placement Introduction to recovery Guided instruction while driving your own vehicle NOTE: There is risk of vehicle damage in this course so protective equipment like Rock Sliders and Skid Plates are highly recommended but not necessary. Please accurately represent the condition of your vehicle in the registration form so that we can plan accordingly. Required Vehicle Equipment: 4WD with working Low range Front and Rear recovery points Recovery strap (no metal ends) and mean to attach it to two vehicles Radio (GMRS Recommended, FRS ok), if GMRS a FCC license is required These trainings require street legal, insured, registered vehicles and valid drivers licenses. We do have other training on private properties that we can do in small groups or 1:1 if this is an issue for you or your vehicle - please email for details! Required Personal Items: Clothing suitable for any weather during the day (classes are held rain or shine) Sturdy footwear for walking safely on trails Work gloves First aid kit Bug spray and sunscreen as required Water/non-alcoholic beverages/snacks for all vehicle occupants Any special medications or foods you may need during the course of the day Optional Equipment: Aftermarket bumpers and recovery points Locking Differentials Winch and winch kits Any gear on which you would like instruction This purchase is NON-REFUNDABLE, but we may be able to transfer your registration to a different date if needed (this is not guaranteed).

Cancellation Policy

You may reschedule trainings if you provide 72 hours notice prior to the start of your scheduled session. Trainings are non-refundable. Guided trips are non-refundable, but you may transfer your booking to another person. Please contact us if you need assistance.
