Mapping & Nav 101 Hybrid Course

Service Description

This is a hybrid course and will include a 2 hour interactive online class following by a a day-long driving portion. The interactive online session will cover the pros and cons of various mapping tools. You'll learn to plan a route using Gaia Maps. After the class, you'll be assigned an area and create your own. During the driving session, the group will navigate some of the routes created by the class with the assistance of our experienced trail guides. This course is intended for lightly modified 4WD vehicles. Those new to off-road driving are welcome. The day will include a lunch stop, but please pack you own lunch and any drinks or snacks you need for the day. NOTE: There is risk of vehicle damage in this course so protective equipment like Rock Sliders and Skid Plates are highly recommended. Please accurately represent the condition of your vehicle in the registration form so that we can plan accordingly. Required Vehicle Equipment: 4WD with working Low range Front and Rear recovery points Recovery strap (no metal ends) and means to attach it to two vehicles Radio (GMRS Recommended, FRS ok), if GMRS a FCC license is required These trainings require street legal, insured, registered vehicles and valid drivers licenses. Required Personal Items: Clothing suitable for any weather during the day (classes are held rain or shine) Sturdy footwear for walking safely on trails Work gloves First aid kit Bug spray and sunscreen as required Water/non-alcoholic beverages/snacks for all vehicle occupants Lunch/Snacks Any special medications or foods you may need during the course of the day Optional Equipment: Aftermarket bumpers and recovery points Locking Differentials Winch and winch kits This purchase is NON-REFUNDABLE, but we may be able to transfer your registration to a different date if needed (this is not guaranteed).

Cancellation Policy

You may reschedule trainings if you provide 72 hours notice prior to the start of your scheduled session. Trainings are non-refundable.
