Service Description

ExploringNH is an authorized training provider for the American Red Cross. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, scouts and scout leaders, and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification. Contact us if you need to complete your CPR certification before this course. Discounted rates may be available. 2 year certification Digital certificate available upon successful completion of course Course length: 16 hours This course includes extensive hands-on practice and scenarios, including work outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Topics include: Primary and Secondary Assessments Head/Brain, Neck and Spinal Injuries Heat-Related Emergencies Hypothermia Altitude-Related Illnesses Allergies and Anaphylaxis Burns Bone and Joint Injuries Wounds and Wound Infection All Participants Receive: Course Book & Waterproof Quick Reference Card ENH Sticker Light refreshments will be provided. Lunch will be available on site for a small donation (or feel free to pack your own). *ENH members may camp Friday & Saturday onsite with prior authorization.
